Hi…

I’m Ashley, the face behind Wee ones on White. 

I am an award winning photographer based in Dunfermline, Fife. I specialise in newborn, baby and milestone photography. 

I had my gorgeous studio purpose built in my home, creating the ideal space for photographing your baby. It was designed to have a homely and cosy feel, helping your baby to feel right at home during their photography session. 

I create natural, authentic and timeless photos of your baby, and with four incredible children of my own I have plenty of first hand experience. I have loved photographing all four of my boys (now as they are older it takes a little bribery), and I love being able to share that experience with all of my clients and their little ones. 

I’m pretty much outnumbered in my house and at times it can get a little crazy. In all honesty I wouldn’t change it for the world – well maybe the part where they walk right past my husband to find me in the shower to ask me to open something. They are all amazing and there’s not a day goes by where they don’t make me smile.

My husband is my rock! As cheesy as it sounds we really do make the perfect team. Except when he spends hours trying to choose a film on Netflix and ends up falling asleep 10 minutes in. You can usually find him in his garage elbow deep in oil or hidden away in our bedroom (which he has claimed as his studio) making music. We both share a love of trance music and when he isn’t the one djing we love nothing more than dancing the night away on the dance floor. He has been in my corner from day one and has always pushed me to achieve my dreams.

As you have a look around my site and view my work there are certain things you will notice. My photography style is different from most other photographers. I photograph all babies on white. Hence the name ‘Wee ones on White’. It is simple and classic and removes all distractions, allowing you to focus on the main part of the image which is your beautiful baby.

I love babies! From their little expressions to their tiny fingers and toes and their amazing smell – everything about them, and knowing now that my family is complete is one of the main reasons that I chose to follow this path and become a newborn photographer. The best part is get to have all the cuddles and hand them back at the end of the session. They grow so quickly and the newborn stage doesn’t last long. This is why I think capturing their every small detail is so important.

I’d love to say that I spend my free time as a lady of leisure but as a mum to 4 boys what exactly is free time.

I spend most of my day being chief snack maker, nurse, teacher, housekeeper and referee.

I hate pairing socks!

You can normally find me hiding from the kids in the bathroom, scrolling through social media and tagging my bestie in funny memes.

That pretty much sums me up! I love my children, I love my husband, I love my job and most importantly I love babies!
